SUBMISSIONS

Philologoi : Φιλόλογοι (pl.)

lovers of words, dialectic, and conversation.

We invite students to submit papers exploring any aspect of philosophical thought from antiquity into the twenty-first century.

FOCUS

Our focus is to provide an engaging and reflective forum for showcasing exceptional scholarly work from undergraduates across the country.

PEER REVIEW 

All submitted works will be initially reviewed by at least three members of the Editorial Staff, who then bring the works before the full staff with a recommendation to accept for publication, accept pending revisions, or decline, with the full staff making the final decision. The review process will begin over the summer and decisions may not be finalized until mid-fall. All submissions will receive a summation of editorial evaluations.

SUBMISSION

  • Submit papers to philologoi.journal@belmont.edu by July 1, 2021.

  • Please prepare submissions for blind review by including the author’s name and academic affiliation in a separate document.

  • Papers should be in 12 pt. font with one-inch margins, formatted in Turabian (Chicago style) or MLA. Documents must be submitted Microsoft Word (.docx) format.

  • There is no formal page limit, although preference will be given to papers ranging between 3,000 and 8,000 words.
